Global Gaming Awards Las Vegas Winners

Global Gaming Awards ImageThe newly formed SG Digital and Aristocrat, one of the oldest company’s in the industry, came out tops at this year’s Global Gaming Awards.

The 2018 awards were held at the Sands Expo Convention Centre, a fitting start to this year’s much anticipated G2E show in Las Vegas.

 A Highly Anticipated Event

The 2018 GGA ’s represent the 5th time these most trusted awards have been given out. Brought to the industry by Gaming Insider, an industry-leading publication, and G2E the GGA’s are adjudicated by KPMG.

The awards bring together 70 expert judges who vote for the most deserving out of the pool of nominees. This year the award winners received their awards in front of a 700 strong audience of industry professionals.

Industry sponsors include Sportradar, Interblock, Aisa Live Tech, Scientific Games, Microgaming, FSB Tech, NetEnt, Pragmatic Play, IGT, BettingJobs.com and Greentube.

The Majority Winners

SG Digital, which was formed earlier this year, is the result of a partnership between Scientific Games International and the NYX Gaming Group. Through SG Digital the companies aimed to become the leading end-to-end provider for digital entertainment.

Aristocrat was founded in 1953. Since the company’s inception, it has prided itself on being an innovative leader in the industry and has evolved in the rapidly changing world of iGaming. Today the company operates in 90 countries, has 240 licenses, a 5000 strong human resource base and 65 years of expertise.

Aristocrat walked away with both the Land Based Product of the Year Award for their Lighting Link and Slot of The Year Award for their Games of Thrones™ video slot. SG Digital was awarded the Digital Product of The Year for OpenBet, the company’s newly acquired sportsbook and digital entertainment brand and Digital Industry Supplier of the Year. In Addition, Scientific Gaming International, SG Digital’s parent company walked away with Land-Based Industry Supplier of the Year, making it a total of three out of twelve awards for the group.

The 2019 Event

Next year the GGA’s will be returning to London for the sixth annual awards. It will have new categories in place to accommodate contributors from all geographical markets.
