Scientific Games and Apigee’s Team UpHarry Coulter | 26 Oct 2017
Scientific Games is one of the fastest growing providers of online casino gaming content, with a particular focus on the mobile and Android gaming markets. With casino clients all over the world, Scientific Games (SG) is well known for its casino games that employ state of the art game mechanics, bonus feature blueprints, and cutting-edge graphical capabilities.
Now, Scientific Games has revealed a new partnership with Apigee – a subsidiary of internet giant Google. The new partnership will allow SG to use Apigee’s full life-cycle application programming interface management platform for its own games, as part of its range of casino management solutions for the global iGaming market.
Apigee Software To Improve Third-Party App Integration
Under the deal, SG will be able to offer Apigee’s API management software suite in its own portfolio of online casino and slots management systems. This will give SG the opportunity to secure, deploy, monitor, design, and scale its very own APIs, thus significantly expanding its business operations.
Apigee’s state of the art solution will make integration with third-party apps much easier for SG’s casino clients, as well as more reliable, more secure, and more efficient in an operational sense.
Senior Vice President of Gaming Systems for Scientific Games, Catherine Burns, has commented on the new deal, noting that SG is always committed to providing the latest technological solutions for its clients. Considering this, Burns noted that the agreement with Apigee and SG’s own newly debuted Partner Program confirms that commitment.
Scientific Games Comments On New Deal
Apigee’s API platform will assist Scientific Games to open the door to more flexibility when working alongside third-party software providers, Burns said, which will enable smoother and easier integration and improved security between SG’s systems’ products and those of third-party gaming firms.
This, Burns noted, will give SG’s casino clients the ability to more efficiently integrate the best product combinations to meet their unique operational needs, as well as improve their interactions with their players, and perhaps even boost operational revenues in the process.
Apigee was founded back in 2004 and today offers an intelligent API platform that allows companies to share their data and services securely to provide connected online gaming experiences for clients and players. Google acquired the firm in 2016, and it has gone from strength to strength since.
